Special Transitional Enrichment Program
The Special Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP) helps students develop skills that will improve their performance at the University. STEP begins with a four-week summer residential program and continues for students’ first two years on campus. It provides transitional classes and skills development activities along with intensive counseling and academic advising. Participation in STEP allows students to: experience campus life and develop friendships while living in the residence halls; enroll in fall quarter classes; sharpen their skills through preparatory classes; and, learn about campus resources.
